Orange County Project Record
Orange County work is the same coastal remodel and new-construction scope JIC runs further south. These two completed projects show the standard — comparable property types, comparable electrical.
Coastal open-plan new build
- Property type
- Single-family new construction, vaulted open plan
- Electrical challenge
- Vaulted framing left no attic to run from — the lighting layout had to be final before insulation
- Scope of work
- Service and panel, full rough-in, recessed LED on dimmers, kitchen and island circuits, low-voltage landscape lighting, final trim
- Result
- Passed final inspection; garden and patio lighting zoned off a single transformer
Coastal residence, full electrical
- Property type
- Single-family coastal residence, vaulted living spaces
- Electrical challenge
- Salt air — standard exterior devices and enclosures would not last
- Scope of work
- Complete wiring from service through trim, recessed and pendant layout, full kitchen circuits, mini-split feeds, corrosion-rated exterior devices
- Result
- Passed final; exterior hardware specified for the marine environment
Orange County Coverage
Orange County work is planned rather than dispatched — JIC schedules project days in the county so remodels get continuous crew time instead of a partial visit squeezed between service calls.

Remodel & Lighting Questions
Questions that come up specifically on Orange County work.
+Can you coordinate electrical work with my remodel contractor or designer?
Yes, and it works better that way. JIC can join a walkthrough, mark the plan with the designer or GC, and work to the construction schedule so electrical is not the trade holding up drywall.
+Can lighting locations be planned before drywall?
They should be. Fixture locations, beam directions, switch banks and dimming zones get marked at rough-in, while moving a can light still costs nothing.
+Can you add circuits for new kitchen appliances?
Yes. Ranges, ovens, built-in refrigeration, steam and coffee units, and island receptacles each get the dedicated circuit the equipment requires, verified against the panel.
+Can you upgrade electrical capacity during a renovation?
Yes, and a renovation is usually the cheapest time to do it. The load calculation comes first; if the existing service will not carry the finished house, the upgrade is priced with the rest of the work.
+Do you handle landscape and architectural lighting?
Yes — facade, garden, path and outdoor living lighting, including transformer sizing, zones and controls.
+How do you protect finished surfaces during work?
Access is planned around finished material, existing surfaces are covered, and JIC coordinates with the GC on who patches what before anything is opened up.
